Brutalist Vessel Project (concrete)
For this assignment students needed to create and design an object based on where it is and what it holds/contains/organizes. The material/process for making your container will be poured concrete, each section is molded off the previous section for a total of three sections that fit together or within each other.
Chindōgu Project (wood)
Chindōgu (珍道具) is the practice of inventing ingenious everyday gadgets
that seem to be ideal solutions to particular problems, but which may
cause more problems than they solve. The term is of Japanese origin.
Chindōgu translates to “unusual tool.”
Students needed to identify a problem(s) in their everyday life and design
a solution for said problem.
