Show Statement

"Infinite Finite" is an exploration at the confluence of art and technology, where the immutable laws of mathematics meet the fluidity of artistic expression. These works embody a deep dive into the realm of spherical shapes, rendered in the reflective purity of silver, and brought to life through the precision of a bespoke visual algorithmic program within Rhino and Cinema 4D. Each piece in this project is a testament to the dualities that define and enrich our existence: the finite and the infinite, the random and the deterministic, the individual and the universal.

At the core of this project is an interplay between the artist and the algorithm. The process begins with the creation of shapes that recursively generate smaller versions of themselves, a visual metaphor for the infinite nested within the finite. This fractal-like progression is not merely an exploratory randomness but a mirror reflecting the complexities of our personal vision.

Also, this collaborative project delves into the philosophical, utilizing the impartiality of algorithms to challenge traditional notions of artistic control. This deliberate embrace of randomness and relinquishing of control underscores the beauty of unpredictability, imbuing each piece with a distinct identity that defies replication.

"Infinite Finite" showcases the fusion of art and technology, highlighting the singular beauty in randomness and the unity in diversity. By setting the domain for these algorithmically placed shapes, we, as the artists, initiate a process whose outcome is a collaboration with the algorithm itself. The final composition, while beyond our direct influence, emerges from a conscious decision that reflects the essence of creation.

This collaboration invites viewers on a journey through the intersections of the visible and the invisible, the tangible and the intangible, challenging us to reconsider the boundaries of art, technology, and existence itself. It highlights the infinite possibilities that emerge from the finite, the order from chaos, and the individuality within the collective, urging us to explore the depth and breadth of what it means to create and exist in an ever-expanding universe.
